Our day in Darwin was HOT and HUMID.  We had two missions to accomplish…. 1. To go to the Hearing Clinic to pick up a replacement part for Peter's hearing aid that was not ready before we left Newcastle and….  2. To go to the NAB to organise a new pin number for my spare credit card as my main credit card had been fraudulently used two days after we left home.
Firstly we got a taxi to Fanny Bay to the Hearing Clinic which cost around $17 and as we had all day we decided to catch the local bus back to town for something different which cost $1 each!  We then headed to the NAB and sorted my credit card out.  After that we walked up the mall looking for fold up picnic chairs to take back to the ship.  We were then on a mission for chairs and grog!  We found both at Coles along with half of the ship.  Our chairs are for afternoon drinks at the back of the ship on deck 11 as there are only sun lounges there which are not comfortable sitting sideways with no back support!
We then headed back to the ship to claim our GST back on my new Mac and Bose headphones and to dispose of our purchases…. not easing walking around with chairs!
As we did not have to be back on board to late afternoon we headed for one of the bars on the Darwin waterfront area for some light refreshments… a jug of Sangria for the girls and beer for the boys… and a couple of pizzas.  A pleasant day in Darwin….

Next port Kota Kinabalu.
