Our day in Vancouver was spent catching up with family. It was a beautiful sunny day which was ideal for lunch in the restaurant overlooking Queen Elizabeth park with beautiful views over the gardens and to the high rises on city skyline. After a delicious lunch we walked through the park and sat on the grass while Jack played. Our next stop was to Costco to buy supplies for a BBQ dinner and to checkout the store as we do not have Costco in Newcastle.
Once back at the house our time was spent playing with our grandson and making use of the free fast internet.
We had a BBQ which reminded us of home, shared a good red wine and watched the opening ceremony for the 2016 Olympic Games which was spectacular and better than I was expecting.
We had to be back on board by 11.30pm so that gave us a good full day with the family and enjoying time with our one year old grandson.
Our time in Vancouver went by too fast…..
Our next port is Victoria.
